The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) has partnered with the Manila Water Foundation (MWF) to enhance public health and hygiene initiatives. Together, they aim to raise awareness about the significance of sanitation and personal hygiene practices among train commuters.

MWF has installed five WASHup! Hand Washing Stations at the Antipolo Station to encourage and facilitate regular handwashing, which is essential for maintaining health and preventing the spread of diseases.

Moreover, passengers at the station also received boxes of Vitamin C and toys. This not only promotes health but also demonstrates care and concern for the well-being of the commuters.

LRTA Administrator, Atty. Hernando T. Cabrera, expressed appreciation and optimism regarding the collaboration: “We are grateful to Manila Water Foundation for partnering with us on this important initiative. It perfectly aligns with our mission to provide the public with a comfortable, safe, sustainable, and affordable transportation experience.”

Cabrera also conveyed excitement about the positive impact this partnership will have on commuters’ health and expressed hope for more opportunities to collaborate with MWF in the future.
