The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) has been awarded the Climate Change Commission Expenditure Tagging (CCET) Quality Assurance and Review (QAR) Certification, confirming that LRTA meets standards for its climate-tagged programs and projects for fiscal year 2026.

The Climate Change Commission (CCC) reviewed LRTA’s submissions and endorsed these initiatives, demonstrating LRTA’s commitment to addressing climate change and implementing sustainable practices.

“This certification is a significant milestone for LRTA,” said LRTA Administrator Hernando Cabrera. “It highlights our dedication to tackling climate change while ensuring our projects meet transportation needs and promote environmental sustainability.”

This certification also underscores LRTA’s support for the Philippine National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), as the agency continues to integrate sustainable solutions into its operations, enhancing the commuting experience and contributing to the nation’s climate goals.
