The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) served 2,310 persons with disability (PWD) beneficiaries through its free ride program at LRT-2 from July 17-23, 2025.

This is in celebration of the 47th National Disability Rights Weeks with the theme “Innovation for Inclusion: Building Inclusive Communities Together.”

During the week, LRTA offered free rides during peak hours—7:00-9:00 AM and 5:00-7:00 PM—to help PWD passengers travel during their busiest times. The service ran all week, showing LRTA’s commitment to accessible, inclusive transportation.

This effort highlights LRTA’s goal to support people with disabilities and promote equal access. “We want to make sure everyone can ride easily and safely,” said LRTA Administrator Hernando Cabrera.

LRTA will continue improving its services to better assist all passengers, especially those with special needs.
