The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) conducted Basic First Aid Awareness Training for its maintenance personnel at the LRTA Depot in preparation for the upcoming annual maintenance activities during Holy Week.
The training program was spearheaded by the Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PCDRRMO), equipped LRTA staff with essential life-saving skills, including proper execution of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and other first aid measures.

“This training is part our preparation for the annual Holy Week maintenance operations,” said LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando T. Cabrera. “We need to equip our frontline maintenance team with proper emergency response skills, to ensure they can effectively handle any emergency situations during the maintenance period.”
The Holy Week maintenance activities are scheduled to begin next week, during which time the LRTA conducts essential system upgrades, inspections, and repairs to ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of LRT Line 2.

LRTA remains committed to prioritizing safety across all aspects of its operations and continues to invest in programs that enhance the skills and preparedness of its workforce to better serve the commuting public.
