As part of its continuing commitment to railway safety, disaster preparedness, and operational resilience, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), in coordination with the manufacturer/supplier of the system Filipinas Tectonic Safety Systems Corporation, conducted the Training on the Accelerograph System on July 30, 2026.

As part of the contract for the procurement and installation of the Accelerograph System, a total of twenty-eight (28) LRTA personnel participated in the training to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary for its proper operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance. Topics included the fundamentals of seismic monitoring, system components and functions, data retrieval and interpretation, alarm and notification features, basic troubleshooting, and reporting procedures.

Through this initiative, LRTA further strengthens its capability to monitor seismic events, support informed operational decision-making, and promote the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of its railway system and other critical facilities.
