The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) conducted additional batches of the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) Awareness Training on April 14 and 28, 2026, to accommodate personnel who were unable to attend the initial sessions held in February 2026.
The activity forms part of LRTA’s continuing efforts to strengthen its occupational safety and health practices and to prepare for the upcoming third-party surveillance audit for ISO 45001 certification.
A total of 105 personnel participated in the two batches. The training covered key OSH principles, the salient provisions of Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 01, s. 2020, hazard identification, risk control measures, and the roles of leadership and worker participation in promoting a safe and healthy workplace.
The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Lawrence C. Malubay, LRTA OSH Consultant.
Through this initiative, LRTA reaffirms its commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and the promotion of a strong occupational safety and health culture across the organization.
