As part of its continued commitment to occupational safety and health, the Light Rail Transit Authority conducted six (6) batches of Safety Awareness Training on Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO), Confined Space, and Working at Heights for Maintenance Transition Team (MTT) personnel on February 3, 13, 19, 20, 24, and 26, 2026, held at the Social Hall of the LRTA Line 2 Depot in Santolan, Pasig City.

The activity, which was attended by a total of 105 MTT personnel, enhanced participants’ awareness of workplace hazards and reinforced compliance with established safety procedures. Through lecture-discussions and practical examples, the training strengthened MTT personnel’s ability to identify risks, apply appropriate safety controls, and promote a proactive culture of safety in the workplace.

The initiative underscores LRTA’s ongoing efforts to ensure that all personnel are equipped with the knowledge and competence necessary to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
