The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) conducted a Refresher Training on the Operation and Maintenance of Scissors Lift for Maintenance Transition Team (MTT) personnel on March 23, 24, and 25, 2026, with each batch completing an 8-hour session. A total of twenty-six (26) MTT personnel participated in the training which was facilitated by MTT Supervisor Mr. Leonardo A. Armada Jr., Leadman Mr. William R. Jaminit, and Mr. Darwin E. Madeloso.

The program aimed to reinforce participants’ knowledge and skills in the proper operation, routine inspection, and preventive maintenance of electric scissors lifts, in accordance with established safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Emphasis was placed on hazard identification, risk assessment, and the implementation of appropriate safety measures while working at height.

Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on demonstrations, MTT personnel enhanced their competencies in operating both platform and ground controls, conducting pre-operational checks, and performing basic troubleshooting.

This initiative underscores LRTA’s continued commitment to promoting a culture of safety and operational excellence, ensuring that personnel are fully equipped to perform maintenance activities safely and efficiently within the LRT Line 2 system.
