Bloodletting Drive & Free Medical Services:
As a kick-off activity for its 38th Founding Anniversary celebration, LRTA, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross and BioFemme Inc., held a bloodletting drive and provided medical services such as bone scanning, hemoglobin determination, blood pressure reading and sugar testing last July 12, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 12 nn. at LRT-2 Cubao station. 160 passengers donated blood while 196 passengers availed the free medical services.
According to LRTA Administrator Reynaldo Berroya, these kinds of activities are initiated every year to express gratitude to passengers and to be of help and assistance to its clientele
Lawin Park Beautification:
Employees of the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) will work towards beautifying the Lawin Park, an open space land reserve inside the LRT-2 Depot, to make it a recreational yet an environmental spot for both the LRTA employees and guests. The area is also being used by the employees as walkway going to Santolan station.
LRTA Administrator Gen. Reynaldo I. Berroya led the launching last July 12, 2018 during the 38th Founding Anniversary of LRTA.
Basic Computer Operations Course & Web Design and Basic Electrical Course:
In its aim of improving the skills of its internal stakeholders, LRTA launched last July 12, 2018, during LRTA’s 38th Founding Anniversary, the provision of free Basic Computer Operations Course & Web Design and Basic Electrical Course to all its utility security guards and other interested LRTA personnel.
