As part of its commitment to passenger safety and operational preparedness, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) carried out its inspection of rescue and evacuation equipment for April 2026, in accordance with its Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP).
The inspection was undertaken by trained safety personnel as part of LRTA’s continuous efforts to strengthen its safety and risk management practices. Essential rescue and evacuation tools, including emergency devices and related safety equipment, were thoroughly examined to confirm their operational readiness, completeness, and proper condition.
The activity was conducted in line with the provisions of the PSCP, particularly Section XIII on Testing and Maintenance of the Plan, which mandates regular functional exercises to ensure the reliability and readiness of emergency response resources.
Through these routine inspections and systematic documentation, all critical equipment remains functional and readily deployable in case of emergencies, service interruptions, or unforeseen incidents.
This initiative is a testament to LRTA dedication to maintaining uninterrupted public service, minimizing risks, and safeguarding passengers, personnel, and assets.
