Effective response during service disruptions depends on clear coordination and quick decision making. To support this, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), through its Train Operations Division (TOD) and the Operations Control Center (OCC), conducted a Joint Tabletop Exercise from May 22 to 31, 2026 to improve communication and operational readiness.

A total of 110 LRTA personnel joined the Table Top Exercise. The group included 83 Train Drivers, 9 Line Dispatchers, and 17 OCC Personnel. The activity brought together key units and reinforced the need for unified action during service disruptions. Transport Operations Officers facilitated the discussions and scenario assessments. They guided participants in decision making and highlighted the value of clear coordination across all units.

Participants took part in scenario-based discussions that simulated actual operations. They practiced essential procedures such as reporting incidents to the OCC, confirming train status, coordinating actions, and delivering clear passenger announcements.

These exercises improved the ability of personnel to respond to safety-critical tasks and train faults on the mainline. They also strengthened teamwork, discipline, and adherence to standard procedures.

Through the Tabletop Exercise, LRTA continues to build a culture of preparedness. This ensures that personnel remain ready, coordinated, and committed to safe and reliable service for the riding public.
