The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) is further enhancing safety and reliability in the LRT Line 2 System through daily foot patrols conducted by the LRTA Tracks Team and the Power Catenary Team, as part of its regular and proactive maintenance program.

These patrols are done along the LRT Line 2 System main line, allowing maintenance personnel to closely inspect rail tracks, overhead power cables, and the surrounding viaduct areas. Conducted during daylight hours, the inspections enable teams to clearly view the infrastructure and quickly detect any issue and concern that may affect train operations.

By identifying early signs of wear, possible, obstructions, or irregularities in the track and power systems, LRTA can implement timely corrective actions and help prevent service disruptions.
