The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) formally enters into a Memorandum of Agreement with SM Supermalls on December 23, 2025, for the construction of the LRT-2 Antipolo Station Interconnection Access Bridge. The project aims to provide a safe, direct, and weather-protected pedestrian link between LRT-2 Antipolo Station and SM City Masinag, improving commuter convenience, accessibility, and overall urban mobility in the area.

Under the MOA, an interconnecting bridge will be constructed featuring a fully covered and weather-protected walkway. The facility will be equipped with adequate lighting, ventilation systems, CCTV coverage, regular security patrols, clear directional signage, and emergency safety features to ensure a safe, comfortable, and efficient commuting experience for LRT-2 passengers.
Construction of the interconnection access bridge is set to begin in the first quarter of 2026. Once completed, the project is expected to enhance passenger safety and ease of movement, particularly during peak hours and inclement weather.
Present during the MOA signing ceremony were LRTA Administrator Hernando T. Cabrera; SM Supermalls Vice President Junias M. Eusebio; Senior Assistant Vice President of SM Supermalls Ronald Allan D. Brosas; Engr. Jomar R. Lua, OIC Director IV of the Rail Standards and Enforcement Office; Dr. Paul Y.
