The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) proudly announces that LRT Line 2 – Recto Station has been issued a Certificate of Interconnection by Maynilad Water Services, Inc. on 22 May 2026.

The certification confirms that the station’s wastewater system is properly connected to the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) sewerage network through an indirect interconnection system, ensuring that wastewater generated by the facility is conveyed to the appropriate treatment facility before discharge. The certificate demonstrates LRTA’s continued compliance with environmental regulations and wastewater management standards established by MWSS.
