The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) has received a Patient Transport Vehicle (PTV) from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), through the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), in a turnover ceremony held on April 29, 2026 at the PAGCOR Corporate Office in Pasay City.

LRTA Administrator Hernando Cabrera formally accepted the donation from PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco and PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles.

The PTV is expected to significantly strengthen LRTA’s capacity to respond to medical emergencies involving passengers and personnel along the LRT Line 2 system, providing immediate, reliable, and efficient medical assistance when needed.

LRTA expressed its gratitude to PAGCOR and PCSO for the generous donation, emphasizing its importance in enhancing the Authority’s emergency preparedness and response operations.

“This donation is not merely a vehicle, but a symbol of our compassion and readiness to save lives. It will greatly help in ensuring prompt and efficient medical services to our passengers,” Administrator Cabrera said.

LRTA remains committed to working closely with partner agencies to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all LRT Line 2 passengers.
