The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) participated in the Third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill today, September 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM, reaffirming its commitment to enhancing disaster preparedness and employee safety.

During the drill, LRTA officials and staff members demonstrated their readiness by promptly responding to the earthquake alarm. Upon hearing the alert at 4:00 PM, employees executed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” safety procedure for approximately 30 to 45 seconds before proceeding to the designated evacuation zone.

Members of the Quick Response Team (QRT) also efficiently carried out their respective roles, following established reporting and emergency protocols to ensure a coordinated and effective response.

This exercise underscores LRTA’s unwavering dedication to fostering a culture of safety, vigilance, and preparedness among its personnel in the face of natural disasters.
