To help protect commuters from extreme heat, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) will open Passenger Cooling Rooms in all LRT Line 2 stations starting today, May 4, 2026.

These rooms are available to passengers experiencing dizziness, headaches, or other heat-related discomfort.

To accommodate as many commuters as possible, use of the Cooling Rooms will be limited to approximately 30 minutes to one hour per passenger.

Passengers who feel unwell or need assistance are advised to approach station personnel.

Through this initiative, the LRTA aims to promote commuter welfare and provide immediate relief during periods of intense heat.
