The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) is offering free rides to all officials, coaches, staff, athletes, and event volunteers of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) 125 Tournament from January 26 to 31, 2026. This initiative supports the country’s participation in hosting its first-ever WTA 125 tournament.

The free ride initiative, implemented in partnership with the Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA), demonstrates LRTA’s commitment to supporting major international sporting events in the country.

To avail of the free ride, qualified participants must present their official accreditation IDs to security personnel at LRT-2 stations. The free ride is available for the entire operating hours of LRT Line 2 System. Standard security protocols remain in effect, and all beneficiaries must comply with LRTA rules and regulations while inside trains and station premises.

“We are ready to assist WTA players and organizers throughout this historic event,” said LRTA Administrator Hernando T. Cabrera. “LRTA is proud to be of assistance as the Philippines takes center stage in international women’s tennis.”

The free ride program runs for the entire duration of the tournament.
