The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) will offer free rides to LRT Line 2 passengers presenting a National ID in celebration of the 37th National Statistics Month. The free ride will be available on October 1, 2026, as the agency joins the nationwide celebration.

This year’s celebration carries the theme, “Tuklas Pilipinas: Statistics as Beacon Towards Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Tourism,” highlighting the importance of statistics in promoting sustainable tourism and community development.

The free ride will be available from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Passengers need only to present their National ID to the security personnel at the station to avail of the free ride.

The LRTA will accept the physical National ID card, printed paper copy, or digital copy of the National ID for verification. Passengers are encouraged to have their National ID ready when entering the station during the designated free-ride hours.

The initiative reflects the LRTA’s support for the celebration and its commitment to providing accessible public transportation services that benefit commuters.
