In honor of Philippine Veterans Week, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) will offer free rides for all Filipino veterans on the LRT Line 2 System from April 5 to 11, 2026.

This initiative serves as a tribute to the bravery, dedication, and selfless service of our veteran heroes who have sacrificed for the freedom and sovereignty of the Filipino people. Through this gesture, the LRTA joins the nation in recognizing and celebrating the invaluable contributions of those who have served our country.

Veterans are required to present a valid Identification Card issued by the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) to station security personnel upon entry. Each veteran may also bring one (1) personal companion, who will also be entitled to a free ride.

LRTA encourages all eligible veterans to take advantage of this offer as a token of the nation’s gratitude for their unwavering service and sacrifice.

This initiative is a testament to LRTA commitment to providing safe, reliable, and accessible transportation to the riding public, while upholding initiatives that honor Filipino values, heritage, and the spirit of service.
