To promote the use of public transportation and provide a more convenient commuting experience, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) offered free parking for all LRT Line 2 passengers beside Santolan Station starting Monday, April 21, 2026.

The free parking initiative was made available exclusively to LRT Line 2 passengers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Upon entry, passengers were required to present a valid government-issued ID to security personnel at the Santolan Parking Area to receive a parking stub. Commuters had to keep their parking stub at all times, as it needed to be presented to the Passenger Assistance Office of their destination station or point of return station for validation before returning to the parking area. The validated stub then had to be presented to security personnel upon exit.

The parking area operated daily from 4:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with overnight parking not allowed.

Passengers were reminded to park only in designated spaces, lock their vehicles at all times, and avoid leaving valuables inside. The LRTA implemented a “park at your own risk” policy and was not held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to vehicles or personal belongings within the premises. Camping, soliciting, and loitering within the parking area were prohibited.

Through this initiative, the LRTA aimed to encourage more motorists to shift to rail transport, reduce traffic congestion, and help commuters save on transportation costs.
