The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), through its Records Disposition Committee, has successfully implemented improvement initiatives for the agency’s Library, Supplies, and Records Warehouse at the LRTA Line 2 System Depot.
Conducted from January 19 to 30, 2026, the project was carried out under Contract PR No. RS 2307 100 and ITB No. 2309 185 08, underscoring LRTA’s commitment to modernizing its facilities and strengthening institutional memory. Importantly, this project was initiated by the Engineering Department with the support of the General Services Division, highlighting inter divisional collaboration in advancing organizational efficiency.

The Records Office, custodian of the agency’s public documents, library materials, and official records, continues to adapt to technological advancements by undertaking systematic records management activities. These include:
- Segregation of records for safekeeping and easy retrieval; and,
- Proper disposal of obsolete records in coordination with the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP).
The improvement of the warehouse and library facilities highlights LRTA’s dedication to efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. By enhancing infrastructure and records management systems, the agency ensures that vital information remains accessible, secure, and properly archived for future generations.
