The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) joined the nationwide observance of Pride Month by conducting activities that promote diversity, inclusion, and respect for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Pride Month is an annual celebration that honors the LGBTQIA+ community and recognizes its invaluable contributions to society. It also serves as an opportunity to acknowledge the continuing pursuit of equality, acceptance, and human rights. Marked by vibrant and meaningful activities. Pride Month promotes inclusivity, raises public awareness, and celebrates the rich diversity of sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.

In support of this year’s celebration, the LRTA Gender and Development (GAD) Committee displayed banners and streamers featuring the 2026 Pride Month theme across all LRT Line 2 stations, the Line 2 Depot, and the Line 1 Depot in Pasay. A Pride-themed photobooth was also installed at Marikina Station, providing commuters with an interactive space to show their support and participate in the celebration.
Through these initiatives, LRTA reaffirmed its commitment to fostering gender equality and cultivating an inclusive workplace and public service environment where every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and equal opportunity.
