The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), through its Inspection and Acceptance Committee (LRT1 CEP-IAC), has actively participated in the inspection and inventory of the Project Asset Registry for the Line 1 South (Cavite) Extension Project (L1 SEP) – Phase 1. The activity was conducted in partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), ALSTOM, and the Concessionaire, Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC).
The LRT1 CEP-IAC is composed of representatives from LRTA RSISD Line 1 Engineering, Asset Management Division, Accounting Division, FROG Division, KPI, SSD, and PMO-CAVEX. Their involvement underscores LRTA’s commitment to ensuring quality, accountability, and compliance in the delivery of major infrastructure projects.

The inspection and inventory were scheduled from January 6 to 30, 2026, covering critical project components such as the Overhead Catenary System (OCS), viaduct structures, Automatic Fare Collection System (AFCS), signaling equipment, architectural elements of stations, structural works, mechanical systems, electrical installations, and fire protection systems.
Further activities—including the continuation of inspections for remaining items, verification of issues and concerns raised during the initial inspection, and final reconciliation of findings—will be conducted in accordance with the schedule to be set by LRMC and the L1 SEP.
This collaborative effort highlights LRTA’s dedication to transparency and its role in advancing safe, reliable, and modern rail transport for the commuting public.
