The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) participated in the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November 6, 2025, to strengthen its preparedness and response capabilities during earthquakes and other natural disasters.

At the sound of the alarm, LRTA personnel promptly executed the “duck, cover, and hold” procedure before evacuating to the designated triage area for headcount and safety assessment.

The activity tested the LRTA emergency and evacuation protocols, helping identify strengths and areas for improvement to ensure a swift and coordinated response in real emergencies.

LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando T. Cabrera emphasized that regular drills are important in enhancing readiness and safeguarding both personnel and passengers during natural calamities.
