The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) participated in the nationwide 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), running from November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to December 12, International Day Against Trafficking.

On December 3, 2025, the LRTA’s Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, led by Administrator Hernando Cabrera and GAD-FPS TWG Chairman Atty. Patrick Henry Villanueva, distributed personalized pens, orange pouches, whistles, and flashlights to passengers at Antipolo Station. This advocacy distribution will also occur at stations like Cubao, Marikina, Recto, Legarda, and Santolan.

Through these efforts, LRTA aims to raise awareness and promote measures to combat violence against women, reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding women’s rights and welfare in its stations and communities.
