


The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) facilitated the Train Assault Simulation Exercise of the Philippine National Police–Special Weapons and Tactics (PNP-SWAT) team at the LRT Line 2 Depot in Santolan, Pasig City on November 23, 2025, to enhance security preparedness and crisis response capabilities within railway facilities. The activity was conducted under the PNP-SWAT Course and utilized the workshop area and a trainset.



“LRTA supports this initiative that strengthen the capability of our law enforcers during crisis situations,” LRTA Administrator Hernando T. Cabrera said. “These exercises ensure they can respond effectively to critical incidents within our railway facilities and protect the lives of our riding public,” he added.
This effort reflects LRTA’s vision as the leading authority for the construction, operations, and maintenance of LRT systems that enable safe, comfortable, and sustainable transportation.
