The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, successfully conducted a Seminar on the Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI) on 8–9 May 2025 in Silang, Cavite. The two-day seminar aimed to strengthen institutional mechanisms in addressing cases of sexual harassment and other forms of misconduct in the workplace.

The activity provided the 58 participants (male: 27, female: 31) with a comprehensive discussion on the roles, functions, and procedures of the Committee on Decorum and Investigation. It emphasized the importance of due process, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling complaints, as well as the responsibility of CODI members in maintaining a safe, respectful, and gender-responsive work environment.

During the seminar, participants were oriented on relevant policies and legal frameworks, including provisions on sexual harassment and workplace conduct. Interactive discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions allowed participants to clarify roles, enhance coordination, and build confidence in managing cases effectively and sensitively.

The seminar reinforced LRTA’s commitment to upholding accountability and respect in the workplace, while ensuring that mechanisms for addressing grievances are accessible, responsive, and aligned with gender and development principles.

Through capacity-building activities such as the CODI Seminar, LRTA continues to promote a culture of professionalism, respect, and zero tolerance for harassment—ultimately strengthening employee welfare and enhancing the quality of service provided to its passengers.
