The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH) and AF Payments Inc., has launched specially designed Single Journey Tickets (SJT) and Stored Value Cards (SVC) to raise public awareness about HIV and tuberculosis (TB).
The cards, now available for LRT-2 passengers, include clear reminders, essential facts, and guidance on prevention, testing, and treatment.

The initiative aims to make accurate, accessible health information as part of commuters’ daily routines. By placing concise, easy-to-understand messages on widely used transit materials, LRTA and DOH hope to reduce stigma, correct misconceptions, and encourage people to seek timely care.
LRTA Administrator Hernando T. Cabrera affirmed the agency’s support: “We fully support initiatives that ensure safe travel and also help deliver vital health messages to the public.”

This collaboration strengthens inter-agency efforts in public health education, promoting greater awareness, understanding, and compassion for the well-being of every commuter.
