The Light Rail Transit Authority delegates participated in the 7th Philippine Railway Summit on 19 November 2025 at City of Dreams, Manila, hosted by Mykar Events Incorporated. The summit gathered government agencies, private sector representatives, and other railway stakeholders to discuss current developments in the country’s rail sector.

LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando T. Cabrera, joined the panel discussion to elaborate some of the major issues and concerns on the Philippine Railway Master Plan. Atty. Cabrera provided insights on matters of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Right-of-way (ROW). He emphasized the value/role of PPP arrangements in accelerating transport infrastructure, and provided some suggestions that the government may take or pursue in addressing the current challenges on PPP and ROW moving forward.

The LRTA expressed its continuous commitment in supporting the national government effort to expand the railway network and improve mass transit services. The summit offered an opportunity for the LRTA to share its ongoing initiatives and collaborate with sector partners in advancing efficient and modern railway systems for the riding public.
