Effective train operations rely on clear coordination and timely communication. To strengthen these, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) conducted a Joint Tabletop Exercise from April 20 to 30, 2026 for Train Drivers, Line Dispatchers, and Operations Control Center (OCC) Personnel.
A total of 110 LRTA personnel joined the Tabletop exervice. The group included 83 Train Drivers, 9 Line Dispatchers, and 18 OCC Personnel. The activity brought together key operating units and reinforced the need for unified action during service disruptions.
Participants engaged in scenario-based discussions that simulated actual operations. LRTA personnel practiced essential procedures such as immediate reporting to the OCC, confirming train status, coordinating appropriate actions, and delivering clear passenger announcements.
These exercises improved the ability of personnel to respond to safety-critical tasks and train faults on the mainline. They also strengthened teamwork, clear communication, and adherence to established safety procedures.
Through this activity, LRTA continues to reinforce a culture of preparedness. This ensures that personnel remain ready, coordinated, and committed to safe and reliable service for the riding public.
