The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), through its Safety and Security Division (SSD), conducted its regular September inspection of rescue and evacuation equipment across the LRT-2 System as part of its continuing efforts to maintain emergency preparedness and operational readiness.

The activity supports the implementation of the LRTA’s Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP), particularly its measures on the regular inspection, testing, and maintenance of resources needed during emergencies and disruptions to railway operations.

Safety personnel inspected emergency response equipment to verify its condition, completeness, accessibility, and serviceability. The inspection also provided an opportunity to identify equipment requiring attention, repair, replacement, or other appropriate action.

Findings gathered during the inspection were documented and coordinated with the concerned offices for necessary corrective and preventive measures. Regular inspection and monitoring help ensure that critical emergency resources remain available and functional during incidents requiring immediate response.

Through these continuing safety initiatives, the LRTA reinforces its preparedness and response capability and remains committed to safeguarding passengers, personnel, railway facilities, and other critical assets of the LRT-2 System.
