The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, conducted a series of seminars on the use of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) checklist and the Project Implementation, Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PIMME) Checklists on August 13–15, 2025, at the Social Hall, Line 2 Depot, Santolan, Pasig City.

The three-day seminar attended by a total of 45 (male; 29, female:16) LRTA personnel from GAD-TWG, project implementers and technical personnel, aimed to enhance the capacity of LRTA personnel in integrating gender and development principles into project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Participants, were oriented on the proper application of the HGDG and PIMME Checklist in assessing programs and projects to ensure that GAD considerations are effectively mainstreamed throughout the project cycle.

The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Rowena S. Navera, who served as the resource speaker. She provided in-depth discussions, practical guidance, and clarifications on the effective use of the HGDG and PIMME checklist in developing and implementing gender-responsive projects.

The activity reinforced LRTA’s commitment to institutionalizing gender mainstreaming and strengthening the implementation of gender-responsive programs and projects within the organization.
