The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Gender and Development (GAD) Planning and Budgeting on 17–18 September 2025, at the Social Hall, Line 2 Depot, Santolan, Pasig City. The activity was attended by a total of 38 participants, 20 female and 18 male from the LRTA GAD FPS-TWG, Execom, other Project Implementers and technical personnel.

The two-day seminar-workshop aimed to provide the participants practical knowledge on GAD planning processes, budget preparation, and the development of GAD Plans and Budgets (GPBs) aligned with national GAD policies and guidelines. Participants were also guided on integrating gender perspectives into agency programs, projects, and activities, ensuring that gender issues and concerns are effectively addressed in planning and resource allocation.

The activity reinforced LRTA’s commitment to institutionalizing gender mainstreaming and promoting inclusive, equitable, and responsive governance across the organization.
