The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, conducted a Seminar on Republic Act No. 11313: The Safe Spaces Act (Bawal Bastos Law) on 4–5 December 2025, at the Social Hall, Line 2 Depot, Santolan, Pasig City. The seminar was attended by 36 frontline (passenger-facing) personnel (male: 23, female: 13) and 36 office-based personnel (male: 17, female: 19) from various LRTA offices.

The sessions guided participants on the key provisions of the law, including the prevention of sexual harassment in public spaces, workplaces, and online environments. Attendees discussed practical approaches to promoting safe, respectful, and inclusive spaces for all, while learning strategies to prevent and address harassment effectively.

Through lectures and interactive discussions, the seminar strengthened LRTA employees’ understanding of their role in upholding the Safe Spaces Act, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to creating a safe and respectful environment for both employees and commuters.
