The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) regularly conducts safety inspections of its stations, depots, and maintenance facilities to ensure safe and reliable railway operations, in line with its Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP).

These inspections covered key areas such as structural conditions, safety systems, operational equipment, and emergency facilities across the LRT Line 2 System.

Fire exits and emergency lighting are among the items checked to ensure they are clearly marked, unobstructed, and fully operational, especially during emergencies or power interruptions.

The inspections were carried out by trained and qualified LRTA personnel following established safety standards and regulations. Any issues identified are promptly documented and addressed through corrective and preventive measures.

Through this continuous inspection program, LRTA strengthens emergency preparedness, minimizes service disruptions, and helps ensure the safety of passengers, employees, and railway facilities.

This ongoing effort reflects LRTA’s commitment to providing safe, reliable, and uninterrupted rail transport services for the public.
