The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) conducted its monthly fire safety inspections along the LRT Line 2 revenue line for May 2026 in accordance with the requirements of its Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP).
The PSCP directs the agency to maintain the readiness of critical fire and life safety systems within stations and operational areas. Designated safety personnel led the inspection to confirm that all units remained dependable and ready for use.
Fire extinguishers were checked for proper pressure, intact safety seals, and sound physical condition. Fire hose cabinets were inspected to verify that hoses, valves, and related components were complete, accessible, and in working order.

Findings were documented in full, and any deficiencies were endorsed for immediate corrective action through repair, replacement, or maintenance.
Sustained inspections under the PSCP support the LRTA’s commitment to a safe, secure, and resilient environment for passengers, personnel, and facilities across LRT Line 2.
The LRTA also calls on passengers to stay alert and report safety concerns to station personnel, reinforcing shared responsibility in maintaining a reliable public transport system.
