The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) conducted a 10-day Joint Tabletop Exercise from February 16 to 27, 2025, involving Line Dispatchers, Train Drivers, and Operations Control Center (OCC) Personnel. The activity was organized by the Train Operations Division (TOD) and the OCC to strengthen coordination and communication among all operational roles.
Participants practiced safety-critical communication protocols including immediate incident reporting to the OCC, train status confirmation, coordinated response actions, and clear passenger announcements, preparing all personnel to respond effectively to train faults on the mainline. A total of 84 personnel attended the activity.
Train Drivers and Assessors Grace Cayetano, Leoval Robles, and Carlos Valdez Jr., together with Rubb Louie Ongkingco, Transport Operations Services Chief B, led the scenario discussions and assessments throughout the exercise.
The exercise reflects the LRTA’s core values of Resilience, Integrity, Professionalism, and Excellence, underscoring the Authority’s commitment to the safety of its personnel and the riding public.
