The Joint Tabletop Exercise (TTX) using a Train Simulator was successfully conducted from August 21 to 31, 2026. It brought together Train Drivers, Line Dispatchers, and Operations Control Center (OCC) personnel to strengthen teamwork, coordination, and readiness in handling safety-critical situations and train-related incidents along the mainline.
A total of 114 personnel participated in the activity, composed of 81 train drivers, 9 line dispatchers, and 24 OCC personnel.
Throughout the exercise, participants simulated various operational scenarios designed to assess and enhance their ability to respond promptly and appropriately to potential incidents.
The activities focused on the proper implementation of operational procedures, safety protocols, and communication processes, including immediate reporting to the OCC, confirmation of train status, coordination of appropriate actions, and the delivery of clear and timely passenger announcements.
More than simply testing procedures, the exercise gave personnel an opportunity to work together, sharpen their decision-making skills, and strengthen communication during situations that require quick and coordinated responses.
Through continuous training and exercises like this, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) continues to equip its personnel with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to respond effectively to various operational situations and, ultimately, provide safe, reliable, and efficient service to the riding public.
