The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), through the Safety and Security Division (SSD), conducted a Customer Service Relations Training for 199 newly hired and existing security personnel assigned to the LRT-2 System.

The training aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge and skills in delivering professional, courteous, responsive, and passenger-centered service in the performance of their duties.

The training featured resource speakers from various LRTA offices, including the Train Operations Division (TOD), Public Relations Division (PRD), Station Operations Division (SOD), and Fare Revenue Operations Group (FROG).

The speakers shared their expertise and practical knowledge on train operations, effective communication, proper passenger interaction, station procedures, fare-related concerns, and appropriate responses to various situations that security personnel may encounter while on duty. The activity also highlighted the importance of teamwork and coordination among different LRTA offices in providing safe, efficient, and quality service to the riding public.

Security personnel play an important role as frontliners who not only ensure the safety and security of passengers, personnel, and railway facilities, but also serve as one of the first points of contact for passengers seeking assistance. Through the training, participants were encouraged to uphold professionalism, respect, courtesy, and responsiveness in every interaction with passengers.

The training reflects the LRTA’s commitment to continuously strengthen the capabilities of its security personnel through relevant training and capacity-building initiatives. By equipping them with both security and customer service skills, the Authority aims to ensure that passengers experience safe, efficient, and responsive service.
