The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) held a coordination meeting with its Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Consultant on 07 January 2026 as part of its preparations for the Government Corporate Governance (GCG) commitment to achieve ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) Certification.
The meeting was led by Mr. Lawrence C. Malubay, OSH Consultant, and attended by key LRTA personnel, including Mr. Leo A. Mangampo, Officer-in-Charge of the Administrative Department; Engr. Sherwin P. Biscocho, Manager of the Planning Department and IMS Core Team member; as well as representatives from various departments and divisions.


During the session, the consultant presented the results of the Gap Analysis, highlighting areas for improvement and alignment with ISO 45001:2018 standards. Discussions also covered OSH requirements, compliance strategies, and the necessary actions to strengthen the Authority’s safety management framework.
The meeting concluded with the identification of priority actions and agreed next steps toward achieving full compliance and certification. This initiative reinforces LRTA’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace while ensuring continuous improvement in its operations and services.
