The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) completed its monthly inspection of rescue and evacuation equipment for May 2026, reinforcing its commitment to passenger safety and operational readiness under the Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP).
Trained safety personnel inspected emergency devices and related tools to verify their operational condition, completeness, and readiness for deployment. The activity forms part of the agency’s continuing efforts to strengthen safety and risk management practices across the LRT Line 2 system.

Section XIII of the PSCP, which covers Testing and Maintenance of the Plan, requires these regular functional exercises to ensure emergency response resources remain reliable when needed.
The LRTA documents each inspection to track equipment status and address any concerns before they affect readiness. Critical tools remain ready for use during emergencies, service interruptions, or unforeseen incidents.
The activity reflects the LRTA’s dedication to uninterrupted public service, risk reduction, and the protection of passengers, personnel, and assets.
