The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) continues to strengthen its commitment to integrity and good governance by enhancing its internal capacity on whistleblowing and accountability practices. On April 15, 2026, LRTA officers and personnel participated in the Whistleblowing and Integrity Program (WHIP) for GOCCs, organized by the Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) and Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), in collaboration with the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG).

The training aimed to reinforce governance standards and establish stronger whistleblowing mechanisms within government-owned and controlled corporations. To maximize the impact of the program, the Human Resource Management Division (HRMD) Training Section facilitated an online echo seminar where designated officers and personnel served as resource persons. They shared key learnings and insights from the WHIP program, ensuring organizational knowledge transfer and embedding best practices into LRTA’s operations.

This initiative reflects LRTA’s proactive stance in aligning with governance standards set by GCG and demonstrates its dedication to transparency, accountability, and integrity in public service. By institutionalizing whistleblowing practices, LRTA underscores its mission to uphold ethical conduct and strengthen public trust in its operations.
