The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) recorded a 95% increase in passengers availing of the LRT-2 Pamilya Pass Program in May 2026, with total ridership rising to 97,894 from 50,295 in April 2026.

The continued growth in ridership reflects the growing public appreciation of the program, which not only provides transport savings but also promotes greater use of public transportation.

The Pamilya Pass 1+3 Program allows one paying adult passenger to bring up to three family members or companions for free every Sunday on LRT-2, making travel more accessible and affordable for Filipino families.

To avail of the Pamilya Pass, passengers may proceed to any ticket booth at LRT-1, LRT-2, or MRT-3 stations every Sunday. Upon purchase of a regular ticket, passengers are issued Pamilya Pass coupons which may be used by up to three companions traveling together to the same destination at no additional cost.

Through the Pamilya Pass 1+3 Program, LRTA continues to introduce initiatives that support affordable travel, promote family bonding, and encourage greater use of public transportation.
