Since opening in January 2025, the Dental Clinic of Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) has become one of the most visited wellness services in the Authority, providing free and accessible dental care to more than 420 employees at the Santolan Depot.

The clinic follows a simple process: staff list their names for scheduling, and Ms. Vilma A. Jalayajay, dental aide, calls a day before the appointment to confirm their slot. This system keeps operations smooth and ensures steady patient flow. LRTA employees commonly avail dental fillings and dental prophylaxis.
“We are happy with the high number of employees availing the services of our dental clinic,” LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando T. Cabrera said. “This is one of our ways to ensure the health and well-being of our employees,” he added.

LRTA dentist Dr. Quirino M. dela Rosa, Jr., expressed gratitude for being part of the initiative. “I am thankful for the opportunity to serve LRTA and to practice my profession in the spirit of public service. I also appreciate management’s support for the clinic, which helps us bring back the smiles of our employees,” he said.
With regular operations every weekday and a growing number of staff members seeking care, the clinic has strengthened LRTA’s employee wellness program. Its accessible services allow employees to maintain oral health without additional cost or inconvenience.
LRTA remains committed to expanding initiatives that support a healthier and more empowered workforce.
