





In observance of Fire Prevention Month 2026, themed “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi Ka Nag-iisa,”. A total of fifty-two (52) personnel of the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) actively participated in a Basic Fire Safety Training conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Pasig City on March 17, 2026, at the LRTA Line 2 Depot, Santolan, Pasig City. This initiative underscores LRTA’s continued commitment to safeguarding its facilities, protecting the riding public, and ensuring that its frontline /core service personnel are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to fire-related emergencies.
The training covered key topics such as the Fire Code of the Philippines (RA 9514), fire prevention techniques, fire safety protocols, fire behavior, and the proper use of fire extinguishers. Participants also engaged in hands-on demonstrations, providing them with practical experience in operating firefighting equipment under the guidance of BFP trainers.
