As part of its continuing commitment to workplace safety and in compliance with the LRTA Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Manual, LRTA frontline service and office-based personnel successfully completed the Basic Life Support (BLS) and Standard First Aid (SFA) Training held on April 15–16, 2026 at the Social Hall, LRTA Line 2 Depot, Santolan, Pasig City.

The training was facilitated by the Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), which provided participants with essential life-saving competencies. The sessions focused on recognizing medical emergencies, administering immediate first aid, performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and properly operating Automated External Defibrillators (AED).

Through interactive lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and simulation exercises, participants enhanced their ability to respond promptly and effectively during emergency situations. The training strengthened their capacity to stabilize victims and provide critical initial care while awaiting professional medical assistance.

This initiative underscores LRTA’s steadfast commitment to promoting a safe and secure working environment, ensuring that both employees and the riding public are protected through continuous capability-building and safety preparedness programs.
