The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) and Miriam College students, participating in the National Service Training Program, teamed up for an enriching educational event at the LRTA Child-Minding Facility. Students donated books and led vibrant storytelling sessions, sparking creativity and a love of reading in the children while providing engaging recreational activities.

The Miriam College students not only enriched the facility’s library with their book donations but also captivated the young audience with interactive storytelling and lively puppet shows.

“We are grateful to the Miriam College students for their inspiring initiative,” said LRTA Administrator Hernando T. Cabrera. “Their commitment to community service through these impactful activities significantly benefits the children of our employees.”

Administrator Cabrera also expressed his hopes for future collaborations: “We anticipate continued partnerships with schools and students to further the well-being and development of the children at the LRTA Child-Minding Facility.”

This event highlights LRTA’s dedication to community engagement and educational programs that support its employees and their families.
