The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), in collaboration with the Pasig City Health Department and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, successfully conducted the 3rd batch of its 4-Day Basic Life Support (BLS) and Standard First Aid (SFA) Training for LRTA Designated First Aiders/Responders on April 20-23, 2026, at the Social Hall, LRTA Line 2 Depot, Santolan, Pasig City.
A total of thirty-two (32) Designated First Aiders/Responders completed the training program which aimed to strengthen the Authority’s health emergency response preparedness. The participants were equipped with essential life-saving knowledge and practical skills necessary to effectively manage medical emergencies within the workplace and across the LRT Line 2 system. This initiative marks the third of several training batches scheduled throughout the year, ensuring that more LRTA personnel are capacitated to respond promptly and efficiently to emergencies, safeguard fellow employees and riding passengers, and uphold public safety across operations.
