As part of the Light Rail Transit Authority’s continuing efforts to strengthen and further develop the competencies of its personnel, the LRTA successfully conducted the 3rd Session Refresher Course for Train Operations Division (TOD) Personnel on May 18–21, 2026 at the TOD Conference Room, LRT Line 2 Antipolo Station. The activity was attended by eighty-nine (89) TOD personnel.

The refresher course covered operational and safety-related topics, including Reverse Running, Running Against Traffic, Stopping Point Markings, and preparedness and response during train operations under inclement weather conditions. Human Resource-related discussions on recruitment, benefits and compensation, payroll, and training matters were likewise included in the sessions.

Conducted bi-monthly or six (6) times a year for Train Drivers and Line Dispatchers, the refresher course supports LRTA’s commitment to continuous improvement and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety standards.
